Parang nagpapatawa na naman si Erap. Parang wala kasi siyang self awareness habang binabanggit niya ang mga katagang.

Sabi nga, ang magnanakaw daw ay galit sa kapwa magnanakaw.

Nagkalimutan

Kanina, ibinalita ng ABS-CBN na humingi na paumanhin si dating Pangulong Cory Aquino kay dating Pangulong Erap Estrada dahil sumama si Pangulong Aquino sa pagpapatalsik kay Pangulong Estrada.

Kay daling makalimot ni Pangulong Aquino, parang nakalimutan na niya yung mga kabaluktutang nangyari nuong kapanahunan ni Pangulong Estrada. Hindi naman nag-alsa ang mga Pilipino laban kay Pangulong Estrada dahil sa trip lamang nila. May mga dahilan, at malaki ang katunayan na mangurakot nga si Pangulong Estrada, mayroon tayong mga bank account, at meron tayong witness na si pangulopng Estrada ang pumipiram sa bank account na ito.

Mas malaki pa nga ang katibayan sa kabaluktutan ni Pangulong Estrada kaysa sa kabaluktutan ni pangulong Arroyo. Puedeng dahil sa mas matalino at mas pinong mangurako si Pangulong Arroyo, pero huwag naman natin kalimutan na porket kasama ngayon ang mga taga suporta ni Pangulong Estrada sa mga gustong magpatalsik kay Pangulong Arroyo, ibig sabihin wala ng sala si Pangulong Estrada.

Never Again, yan ang naging motto ng mga oposisyon nung panahon ni Pangulong Marcos. Sana maalala ni Pangulong Aquino ito.

The Prophet Erap

Former Philippine President Joseph Estrada seems to have given up on his threat to again run for the Presidency of the Philippines to become a prophet of God. God has so far told him that the Philippines is suffering because

"Cardinal Sin did not heed “God’s voice” and, instead, backed the Edsa II People Power revolt, despite a Vatican order to stay away."

He does not tell us why God would punish all Filipinos, including the children who were born after EDSA 2 for the sins of Cardinal Sin. He also does not tell us why God would take the side of an admitted fornicator and adulterer over a man who served God all his adult life.

Last September 2007, President Estrada prayed to God that the judges who were then poised to render judgment on his plunder trial should become enlightened and decide the case on it's merits. God, in his wisdom, decided to grant this wish and let the judges convict him. I just wished he prayed that God should give GMA wisdom, maybe GMA would not have pardoned him and the country will be better off today.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo granted pardon to the 70-year-old deposed leader following a recommendation by the Department of Justice (DoJ), Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye said in a press conference on national television.

Now I have a reason not to support his pardon. I have no problem seeing him free from jail, I just can't accept that he can again run for office. Why did we convict him for if were going to just give him back all his rights?

I will rather return Erap's stolen money than give him back his political rights, pera lang yon. Dapat naman may consequences ang pagkakamali.

Totoo ba ito?

Nagbabasa ako ng isang istorya sa Philippine Daily Inquirer tungkol sa mga nag martsa na taga suporta ni dating Pangulong Estrada sa Makati ng mabasa ko itong pangungusap na ito.

"Makati police chief, Supt. Gilbert Cruz, estimated the crowd at 2,500, mostly from the PDP-Laban Party, of which Binay is national president."

Totoo ba ito? Ang PDP-Laban, ang partido na isa sa mga namuno sa paglaban sa diktaturya ni Pangulong Marcos ngayon ay sumusuporta na sa isang corrupt na tao? Ni hindi nila ipinagkakaila na corrupt si Erap, batay sa isang quote kay Mayor Binay.

“If you have to compare it to the ZTE broadband deal, the Erap case is peanuts. If the Erap case is plunder, the ZTE deal is super plunder,” Binay said."

Hindi ipinagkaila ni Mayor Binay na magnanakaw si dating Pangulong Estrada, sinasabi lang niya na mas magnanakaw so Pangulong Arroyo.

Hindi ko maubos maisip kung paanong pagbabalu-baluktot ng katwiran ang ginawa nila para iwanan ang kanilang paninindigan para sa isang makatwirang lipunang Pilipino at suportahan ang isang balasubas na magnanakaw ng pera ng gobyerno at ng tao.

Guilty!

Ang Panawagan

Ayon sa balita ng PDI, nakiusap ang dating Pangulong Estrada sa kanyang mga taga suporta, ang kanyang panawagan ay:

“Sila ay huminahon sapagkat ano man ang magiging desisyon ay handa na ako. I cherish more the voice of the people, who have already acquitted me.

“My freedom is no longer my concern because what is more important is the freedom of our people in their search for truth and their fight against poverty.”

Sana ay pakinggan ng mga taga suporta ni dating Pangulong Estrada ang panawagan na ito.

Ang Dasal

Ayon sa balita sa PDI, nagdasal kagabi si dating Pangulong Joseph Estrada, ang dasal niya ay:

“I pray hard that the justices will decide based on the merits of the case. I pray that they will be enlightened,”

Kung guilty and hatol sa kanya ng Sandiganbayan, ibig bang sabihin ay dininig ng Diyos ang dasal niya o hindi?
